GlioGrade – Instant Brain Cancer Diagnosis

Revolutionizing Brain Cancer Diagnosis with Noninvasive MRI Scans

Precision Medicine, Simplified

GlioGrade

GlioGrade is the world firstโ€™s virtual tool that can instantaneously and non invasively classify brain cancers into their type and grade from just an MRI scan.

By uploading an MRI slice best representative of the tumor to our virtual tool, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and pathologists alike can instantaneously determine its type and grade based on WHO 2021 standards.

Our Machine Learning pipeline consists of a preprocessing stage, where noise is removed from MRI images, followed by two Machine Learning models, both leveraging convolutional neural networks.

  • The Glioma Typing model classifies gliomas into astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma, glioblastoma, and Other, and achieved a validation accuracy of 93%.
  • The Glioma Grading Model classifies gliomas into grades II, III, and IV, and achieved a validation accuracy of 95%.

GlioGrade has been implemented in 3 clinics, including one by a prominent neuropathologist at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and received stellar feedback on its applicability in providing crucial preliminary information to decide treatment plans.
